The Developmental Disabilities Planning and Policy Council operates until State Title 33, providing critical input from citizens regarding best practice and recommendations on sound public policy. This Council operates under the overall TDMHDD Planning and Policy Council mandate, which also includes Mental Health Planning. The overall council strongly endorses the efficacy of the Family Support Program.
