Advocates Line the Hall at
Governor’s State of the State Address

Tennessee Family Support Program advocates came out in force to Governor Haslam’s State of the State Address to advocate for inclusion of the Tennessee Family Support Program in the State Budget for 2012-13. Program supporters lined both sides of the hall holding signs recognizing legislative supporters as the Governor entered the House Chamber to make his budget presentation to the 107th General Assembly. Preliminary information at the time of the address indicates that the Administration’s budget recommendation includes the program at $4.5 Million, a reduction from the current funding level of $7.3 Million.
